Keele International Student Scholarship (KISS)

The Keele International Student Scholarship for undergraduate students is worth £2000 deducted from the cost of the annual tuition fees for the duration of your course. Students studying a three-year degree can therefore save £6000 from the total cost of their degree studies.

The Scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate excellence in at least two of the following areas:

  • Academic qualifications,
  • English Language ability,
  • Understanding of the course and motivation to study at Keele,
  • Extra-curricular or work experience

This award is for international fee payers only and can not be combined with any other University funded scholarship or bursary which is intended for international fee paying students. In cases where an applicant is eligible for more than one award, the highest value award will be applied.

Please note that students studying the 5-year undergraduate degree in Medicine, the 4-year undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and the 5-year undergraduate degree in Pharmacy are not eligible for this award.  International Foundation Year and International Degree Programme students are not eligible for the KISS during the Foundation programme however they may apply for a KISS which, if successful, will be applied as an annual discount during the degree level study instead of the Progression Bursary.  Visiting students, part-time students and those on study abroad programmes are not eligible for the Keele International Student Scholarship.

How to apply

To apply for the KIS Scholarship you must have applied to Keele and been offered a place to study here. You must then complete a separate application form (download KISS Application Form using the link below). Applications must have been received and processed before the start of academic year for which the application is made. KISS Scholarships cannot be awarded to students who have already started their degree at Keele.

The International Scholarships Panel, which consists of Academic and International Office staff, will consider applications on a monthly basis. Only one application may be made and any applications made after the relevant deadline will be considered on a case by case basis. The Panel’s decision is final.
