Information for clearing applicants
If campus accommodation is full we will help you find accommodation in the local area with our accredited landlords. If this happens, we will also give you a free bus pass for the buses that run to campus every 10 minutes during term time.
Please note that the offer of a bus pass does not apply to students living in the family home or students who find their own off campus accommodation.
You can apply for accommodation if:
- You have waited for 48 hours following acceptance of your Keele offer via UCAS track, this is important as the system needs time to process your acceptance.
- You have your Recru it networ student number. We will send this when we receive your application. This is an 8 digit number and is your identification in the system.
- You have decided what accommodation to apply for. There are some en suite bedrooms still available but these will be in high demand so it is a good idea to look at a non en suite alternative as well.
If we arrange off campus accommodation for you, we will provide you with a bus pass and you will be able to travel to and from University with other Keele students. Students who have declined a room or failed to respond to an offer of campus accommodation and subsequently live off campus accommodation will not be eligible for the free bus pass.
What happens if you aren’t happy with the University accommodation you have been allocated
If the room you have been offered isn’t exactly what you wanted, there may be an opportunity to swap rooms at a later date and you can request a room move after you arrive.
If you wish to live on campus you need to accept the room that has been offered to you – your offer will expire after 3 days and will be automatically given to another student.
If you fail to respond or decline a room we cannot guarantee that you will be offered another one at a later stage.
Remember that all accommodation contracts (once accepted) are legally binding whether with the University or a private landlord or provider.
